We have short and fun studies with infants and young children at our lab located on NYU’s campus near Washington Square Park. Our lab is open Monday through Friday, 9:00AM - 5:00PM, as well as on selected weekends and evenings.
Please see below for all of our active in-person studies. We’re frequently adding new studies for 4-month-olds to 5-year-olds, so check back often and send us your contact information using the form above. We’ll get in touch as soon as there’s a study for your child’s age range!

6.5-7.5 months
What we’re studying: What shapes do babies like to look at?
Eligibility: 6.5- to 7.5-month-old infants born at ≥ 37 weeks
Duration: One 30 minute session

What we’re studying: What do young children think words refer to?
Eligibility: 3-year-old children who are learning English as a native language and hear at least 50% English.
Duration: One 30 minute session
Compensation: A stuffed animal, a $10 Amazon gift card (redeemable only at amazon.com), or a t-shirt for your child, and reimbursement for subway fare or up to $20 travel expenses with a receipt.
